Keep a copy of your checklist with your wedding planning notes and give a copy to anyone who is helping you with your wedding plans, such as your maid of honor, groom and your mom. Also keep a copy on your noticeboard or somewhere where it can be quickly referred to should you need it.
Do you want to build a successful restaurant? If you do, then it is important to learn the same standards that made these restaurants grow to be large corporations. You may think you do not need standards for your independently owned restaurant, but consistent policies and rules are important in every restaurant!
Personally, I use two types of checklists. I use an excel spreadsheet and a filemaker database. They serve two different purposes: 1. The excel or spreadsheet style checklist affords a lot of room for detail and serves well as a simple database. I can plug in dates, times, names and math/budget functions. Budget functions are really important in a checklist in my opinion. For me as an event planner, I live and die by the budget. We can train anyone to plan an event, but planning an event within theme and on or below budget is the sign of a pro. Using a spreadsheet allows us to combine budget details with all of the other event details.
The first thing you need to decide is to when, how, where and for what purpose you need to organize an event. What would be the specific date of your event, when it should get planned, timings and most importantly the location? Also you should decide about the guests of your event that whom do you want to invite or reach? What is your interest to conduct an event? How you can reach your prospects easily and conveniently? What message do you want to convey to your prospective clients through your event? What you want them to remember once they left to your event?
Creating a checklist is always a good idea when planning a special occasion. A baby shower is one of the most meaning occasions in a mother`s life, which is why it has to be planned carefully. It does not have to be extravagant, but one must consider some important things to make it memorable and successful.
A month before the meeting, meeting planners get hyperactive. They ca not be blamed for it because the meeting planner checklist seems to get longer and longer as they come closer to the meeting date. A meeting planner checklist at the initial stage tends to be short and broad outlining only general categories of tasks to be done. As the day of the meeting approaches, the meeting planner checklist becomes more elaborate and detailed as each category gets divided into several tasks which have to be executed with precision if the meeting`s to be a success.
